Frequently Asked Questions
General
They’re monthly at the garden gate, with an extended more regular offering over summer. See Me drop off is twice monthly and hoping to expand to weekly.
We always recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy / bringing a spare change of clothes.
A playworker is someone who facilitates play! Playwork is not outcome-based, and is about following the young person’s needs and interests. Playworkers advocate for CYP to have as much autonomy as possible. We follow young people’s leads with no ulterior motive or objective in mind, strewing play and scaffolding interactions when needed, within the environment. We work hard to attune to a young person, and their need for us to support them, or when we can leave them to it. For young people with PDA profiles or school-based trauma, the playwork approach can work really well. Find out more about playwork here
